2
Two things I've heard this week that I don't agree with.
1. Life in countryside is more real than life in cities.
2. Life in Kallio is more real than life in other parts of Helsinki.

Duck soup
I'm still alive. One day I'll feel like it. Nothing serious, just something that happens every year in these early spring days, sleeping through days and waiting. Short walks, some working, studying at home. A cup of tea, tofu, too much coffee. Soon it's time to wash the windows.

Working, earning
November leaves.
Once again I'm buzzing around like a crazy busy bee. I have one more week left in school before a long holiday. I also started a new job less than a week ago (I'm working as a writer after seven years of everything else) and my phone rings in every five minutes. And I still have to deal with my old job. I'm feeling a bit guilty about neglecting this blog, but I'm trying to be back as soon as I have time for a proper meal. Please don't abandon me yet! A week from this moment I only have one job to deal with.

Pig flu!
Greetings from the floor! I've been nesting in front of our television for a week. During weeks like this I really wish our apartment was big enough for a couch to fit in instead of two leather chairs. (Problem with our bedroom is that it's colder than our living room and there's no tv.)
I got The Divine Award from one of my favourite bloggers, Anna. Now I have to confess five of my sins. Only one I really feel guilty about is number 4, but anyway, here goes, my guilty pleasures.
1. Doing nothing.
Being lazy. Taking a day off school, reading comics and staring out the window and drinking coffee or tea. Being proud of doing nothing. Maybe a short walk to the Hakaniemen halli, some good book, good food, drawing, writing, but mostly just being.
2. Bars and after-parties.
Getting intoxicated with good friends, great gigs, beer, wine, another beer, anything except cider goes, having fun, staying up too late for no other reason but having fun. And yes, I'm that annoying person who tends to be one of the last ones up and the first one who wakes up in the morning, without a hang-over, the one who bashes at your hotel room after an hour of sleeping, saying "I heard they are serving breakfast downstairs, come on, let's go get something to eat, I'm starving!" (This happened at Lost in music in Tampere a while ago.)
3. Morning coffee.
The taste doesn't matter as long as it's brownish black and wakes me up in the morning. I don't go to places where I couldn't have my morning coffee as soon as possible after waking up, consequences would be awful. First comes the crankiness, then the headache and crying, and if there's still no coffee, comes the end of the world.
4. Unhealthy food.
My skin is very dry. That's why I should be following a rather strict diet, something between these three diets: 1, 2, 3. Starting the diet was one of the best things that has happened to my body. I get to eat delicious foods, even the restaurants are not a problem. But I'm still eating things I shouldn't be eating: wheat products other than rye bread, junk food when having a night out, beer, sugar, foods with lots of food additives. I eat poorly, my skin suffers and I have to use olive oil as a moisturiser.
5. Elitism.
Especially when it comes to music. There is bad music and then there is the good music. No compromises here.
P.S. Yesterday it was one year for birds, planes!

On repeat*
Yesterday. A long walk in our neighbourhood. Dinner in a good Chinese restaurant. Cold air, icy bond and sunshine. Branches and fallen leaves under our feet.

Tom Waits - Rain Dogs
The Cure - Lullaby
